Hi there! Welcome to my website! My name is Ryan Blagg and I am an Actor, Singer, Dancer, and Storyteller. I am currently based in sunny Orlando, FL. I grew up in the simple college town (3rd largest city in Oklahoma) of Norman, Oklahoma. I was raised by my late grandmother along with my brother while our parents were serving in the military. Our grandmother, Helen Johnson, was a music and French teacher. Not only that, she was a world traveler. She instilled the travel bug within my brother and I at a young age. Before I reached middle school, we’ve travelled all over the country (including Alaska), Europe, and most of Asia. Music has always been a huge part of our lives (thanks to her) and I started in our local church choir when we were just tiny kids. Growing up, I grew to love singing in choir and taking part in the multitude of little childrens theatres productions with the drama clubs at school. I didn’t partake in my first musical until I reached my freshman year in high school. “R&H South Pacific” was my first ever musical and after performing in that production, I was hooked. Throughout high school, I started with the local summer opera camp, Cimarron Opera Company, as well as continued performing in musicals with the historic Sooner Theatre.

Once I graduated high school, I got accepted into the Weizenhoffer School of Music for Vocal Performance at the University of Oklahoma, which is also located in Norman. I graduated with honored and with the class of 2017. Some of my favorite roles I got to perform at many theaters across Oklahoma during my college years include: Toby, in Sweeney Todd; Lefou, in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast; Barnaby Tucker, in Hello, Dolly!; and Giuseppe Zangara, in Assassins.

After graduating college, I was lucky enough to be offered a character performer position at one of my favorite locations in the world. The Walt Disney World Resort! In August 2017, I made the 2-day journey from Norman, OK to Orlando, FL. Shortly after starting with the Disney Parks company as a performer, I have had the incredible privilege to join the parades and shows team early in my career. I’ve gone on to perform in multiple parades, stage shows, as well as opened up the incredibly immersive themed area, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Within my first five years in Orlando, I have also moved around town performing in other incredibly famous theme parks like Universal Orlando Resort and Legoland Florida Resort. Being one of the tourist capitals of the world, I’ve also performed in a couple of dinner theatre venues like Pirate’s Dinner Adventure and Capone’s Dinner & Show. Most recently, I have been branching out of the theme parks and tourist destinations to perform at a variety of local theatre companies in Central Florida. I have performed at places like Athens Theatre in Deland, FL and The Henegar Center in Melbourne, FL. I am very excited for what the future holds for not only my time here in Florida but also where my career takes me around the world.
